Beautiful TV with many possibilities Getting out of the box difficult to do alone Ordering and delivery process by Dinapala was, as is now known, very smooth and friendly. Credit to the delivery person to leave the box intact and keep it for a while if the TV needs to be exchanged. Unpacking was a bit more difficult, because you actually have to do that with two people, if you want to be careful. The legs are easy to click under, place and connect the TV and you go through the installation process automatically and fairly quickly. I went from 32" TV of over 10 years old to 43". A big improvement and yet not too big a black screen in your living room. Image quality is beautiful and although this type is 50hz, it doesn't bother me. A big advantage for me personally and the decisive factor to buy this TV and not, for example, the x85j of 100 hz, is that the 80j has an IPS (ADS) panel type. As a result, the viewing angle is much larger than the almost standard VA panels nowadays (certainly in 43"). Please note: with the x80j series, only the 50" variant seems to have a VA panel type. With VA, the viewing angle is smaller, but the black values are better. For me personally, viewing angle is more important than blackness of the image. In the store I was able to see the comparison and then the choice for IPS panel was not difficult! Sound is also fine for the regular TV viewer. I also like the design of the x80j better than other series from Sony. the 80j may have a slightly thicker edge around the screen (a few mm), but the edge has a nice matt finish and sleek straight. The 85j shines and has a corner, so that dust will be more visible. This also looked cheaper (plastic). The legs also have a nice matte finish and feel very solid. Thanks to the built-in chromecast, you can cast immediately. Remote control is ok. However, the buttons are a bit small and the number keys are at the top instead of at the bottom, which would have been nicer. I'm still missing a button to quickly zap to the previous channel, but maybe I haven't discovered it yet. I am curious how long the remote control will last, but that is mainly due to the small (vulnerable?) buttons. As far as software is concerned, it is still being discovered. I find the process of adding apps a bit tricky, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad. And you don't often do that once they're installed. Voice calls are well monitored. Also a nice feature! So far very happy with it and helps alot with my zoom meetings with rotary international
