Induction cooktops use electromagnetism to generate heat directly, making the cookware the heat source. This heat is then conducted to the food inside the cooking vessel.

This was recommended to me by Amila from Dinapala after I returned an infared cooker where the fan stopped working it’s much easier to use , no heating and fan issues issues and has 2 cooking zones . Has served me well so far

Bought this for my mother aged 68. It's easy enough to explain 1. Press the function button and you can change according to your needs like fry for frying and hot pot for curry's so its just pressing the on/off button and pressing function button which is easy enough to explain to anybody . so far my mother has had no issue with operating this

Expensive but still bought it as the product has great safety features and overheat protection which is good as my teenage daughters use it all the time . had to buy separate induction base cook wear to use as it doesn't work with normal cookware.

Q . Does The surface get Hot and whats the difference between Induction and Infrared cookers

A. No Surface doesn’t get hot for induction cookers . Induction cook-tops generate a strong electrical field which interacts with the iron-content in the base of the pan. This results in heat being developed in the pan-base. Infrared cook-tops use a powerful lamp in the infrared part of the light spectrum which is focussed onto the glass or ceramic surface of the cook-top. This heat is then transferred to the pan by conduction.

Q . Are Infrared Cookers or Induction Cookers better than Hot plates ?

A. Yes they Heat up much Faster than hot plates and hence will save you electricity as well since hot plates take a longer time to heat and are not suitable for cooking curry’s

A. You only need about half the amount of kWh’s for induction or infrared to cook the same food than gas. However, gas is usually a third or a quarter of the price per kWh, so gas is nearly always cheaper. However with the shortage of gas it is necessary to have either an Induction cocker or an Infrared Cooker as a Backup option
